Q: What kind of AdvancedMD consulting and optimization do you offer?
A: We offer implementation and optimization services across all of AMD's modules: Billing, AdvancedInsight, reporting, analytics, clinical notes, patient forms, patient portal setup, scheduling setup, and more.
Q: In your AdvancedMD consulting and implementation experience, which parts of AMD are harder to configure?
A: AdvancedMD can be a bit confusing to configure initially, but once you get the idea, it becomes pretty simple. Trickier parts include AdvancedInsight, WordMerge summaries, self-scheduling, and interface setup.
Q: How powerful is Analytics (formerly AdvancedInsight)?
A: Many of our AdvancedMD consulting and AdvancedMD optimization projects begin with Analytics (formerly AdvancedInsight). It is based on IBM Cognos and does a very good job of presenting charts, graphs, and tabulated data.
Q: Any substantial tips for AdvancedMD implementation?
A: Our biggest advice is to test everything. Provide yourself with a few days to conduct an end-to-end dress rehearsal from registration through billing and make sure each step is recorded and results as expected. Make sure to test using your designated user roles to ensure everybody has the access required.

Analytics, formerly AdvancedInsight, is a powerful data visualization tool that can be licensed with AdvancedMD. It is AdvancedMD's report builder and it does a pretty good job. We often enable our clients to make full use of it as part of our AdvancedMD implementation and optimization services.
AdvancedMD is fairly easy to implement by comparison to many other EHRs. However, nothing ever is *that* easy. I have seen this error time and again - practices purchase the EHR and simply plunge themselves into go-live, only to face chaos and confusion after.
